Better Stack Pricing 2026: Responders, Monitors and Status Pages

What Better Stack costs in 2026: the free plan, the $29 responder license, extra monitors, status page add-ons, telemetry usage and the Slack workflow fee, with real totals.

Better Stack pricing for on-call, monitoring and status pages

Short answer: Better Stack has a free plan for personal projects and charges $29 per responder per month on annual billing ($34 monthly) for on-call and uptime. Team members who only need telemetry access are free. On top of that you pay for extra monitors, status page add-ons, telemetry usage and, if you want incident workflows in Slack, $9 per responder per month.

Better Stack Free Plan

The free plan is aimed at personal projects and includes 10 monitors and heartbeats, 1 status page, Slack and email alerts, and small telemetry allowances (3 GB of logs and 3 GB of traces kept for 3 days, 30 GB of metrics). Phone and SMS alerting and on-call scheduling come with the responder license.

The Responder License ($29 per month, annual)

A responder is anyone who can be alerted. The license includes on-call scheduling, unlimited phone call and SMS alerts, push and email, the iOS and Android apps, calendar export and Google or Outlook calendar integration, incident timelines and escalations. People who only look at logs and dashboards can join as free team members.

What Better Stack Costs by Team Size

On-call only, annual billing, every responder with Slack workflows, before telemetry and extra monitors:

RespondersLicenses ($29)With Slack workflows (+$9)
5$145 / month$190 / month
10$290 / month$380 / month
20$580 / month$760 / month

Is Better Stack Worth It?

Better Stack is a good fit if you want uptime monitoring, logs, status pages and paging from one vendor, and its per-responder model is fairer than charging every engineer. The total grows with add-ons: more monitors, a second status page, private status pages, Slack workflows and telemetry volume all add up, so price your full setup rather than just the license.

A Per-Team Alternative

Pagerly bundles rotations, Slack user group sync, status pages, uptime monitoring and monitoring for 3,000+ third-party services into the Starter plan at $39 per team per month, with no per-monitor pricing. Paging is $4 per responder per month, and incidents run in Slack and Teams.
