Opsgenie Pricing in 2026 and What the Shutdown Will Cost You
Opsgenie's plans and per-user prices, why you can no longer buy it, what happens on 5 April 2027, and what moving to Jira Service Management or an alternative will cost.

Short answer: Opsgenie's list prices are still published, from a free plan for up to 5 users to $31.90 per user per month on Enterprise (billed annually). But you can no longer buy it: Atlassian ended sales on 4 June 2025, and support ends on 5 April 2027, when access is switched off and data that has not been migrated is deleted. The real question in 2026 is not what Opsgenie costs, but what replacing it will.
Details checked on Atlassian's Opsgenie pricing page on 20 October 2026.
Opsgenie Pricing Plans
| Plan | Annual billing | Monthly billing | For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | Up to 5 users |
| Essentials | $9.45 per user / month | $11.55 | Alerting and incident management |
| Standard | $19.95 per user / month | $24.15 | Unlimited alerting and incident management |
| Enterprise | $31.90 per user / month | $38.50 | Advanced incident management and collaboration |
Opsgenie End of Sale and End of Support
- 4 March 2025: Atlassian announced the end of Opsgenie.
- 4 June 2025: end of sale. No new Opsgenie customers.
- Until 5 April 2027: existing customers can keep using it, and can renew if the new term ends before that date.
- 5 April 2027: end of support. Access is switched off and customer data that has not been migrated is deleted.
Atlassian's suggested destinations are Jira Service Management, which now contains Opsgenie's alerting, on-call and incident features, and Compass.
What the Shutdown Actually Costs
Your Opsgenie bill does not disappear; it moves. Three things decide the new number:
- The pricing model of the replacement. Per agent, per user, per responder or per team gives very different totals for the same rotation.
- Who needs a seat. Opsgenie charged per user. Some replacements only charge for people who can be paged.
- Migration effort. Rebuilding schedules, escalation policies and integrations takes engineering time. Tools that import from Opsgenie cut it down.
Replacement Cost for a 20-Person Rotation
Monthly list prices on annual billing where shown, every person on call:
| Option | Pricing model | 20 people |
|---|---|---|
| Opsgenie Standard (today) | $19.95 per user | $399 |
| PagerDuty Professional | $21 per user | $420 |
| incident.io Team + on-call | $15 + $10 per user | $500 |
| Rootly On-Call | $20 per user | $400 ($800 with Incident Response) |
| Better Stack | $29 per responder | $580 |
| Jira Service Management | Per agent, sold in Atlassian's Service Collection | Depends on agent band and plan |
| Pagerly Starter + paging | $39 per team + $4 per responder | $119 |
Jira Service Management's per-agent price depends on plan and agent count, and Atlassian now sells it inside its Service Collection bundle, so price it on Atlassian's own page. Third-party guides in 2026 put Standard at roughly $20 to $25 per agent per month and Premium at roughly $51 to $57. Check every vendor's current pricing before you decide.
Jira Service Management or an Alternative?
Stay with Atlassian if your service desk already runs in Jira Service Management and your responders are JSM agents anyway: the alerting comes with the seats you pay for.
Look elsewhere if most of your on-call engineers are not service desk agents, if your team works in Slack rather than Jira, or if per-agent pricing would put every responder on a paid seat. For a full comparison, see Opsgenie alternatives and Opsgenie vs Jira Service Management.
Moving from Opsgenie to Pagerly
Pagerly imports Opsgenie schedules, escalation policies and integrations in one step, so you can run it alongside Opsgenie, prove it on real alerts, and switch before April 2027. Rotations, overrides and Slack user groups are managed in Slack, and paging reaches the on-call engineer by phone, SMS, email, Slack and the mobile apps with L1 to L2 to L3 escalation. Opsgenie Pricing FAQ
How much does Opsgenie cost?
Free for up to 5 users, then $9.45 (Essentials), $19.95 (Standard) or $31.90 (Enterprise) per user per month billed annually. New customers can no longer buy it.
Can I still buy Opsgenie?
No. Sales ended on 4 June 2025. Existing customers can renew only if the term ends before 5 April 2027.
When does Opsgenie shut down?
Support ends on 5 April 2027. Access is switched off then, and data that has not been migrated is deleted.
Is Jira Service Management cheaper than Opsgenie?
It depends on how many responders would need agent seats. If only some of your on-call engineers already have JSM seats, adding the rest can cost more than Opsgenie did.
What is the cheapest Opsgenie alternative?
For teams that mainly need on-call and paging, per-team pricing like Pagerly’s is usually the lowest total, because you pay per team plus a small fee per person who can be paged.
